Samsung Proudly Announces 20 Million Galaxy S III Units Sold Globally
July 23 was the day Samsung told the world that its latest Android flagship, the Galaxy S III, was being sold like cookies: 10 million units. More than a month later the number of S III sold worldwide according to the manufacturer, surpassed 20 million. With the latest iteration of the Galaxy S phone, Samsung has managed to set another record; the third generation Galaxy S sold better and faster than any other model before.
Looks like the largest part of these devices went to Europe: 6 million. 4.5 million went to Asia, 4 million to the USA and 2.5 million stayed home in South Korea. Also, Samsung claims that there are 200,000 units being sold on a daily basis which will definitely give overall Google Android device activation numbers’ a nice boost. After all, aside from the Galaxy Note II just announced, the S III is the fastest and hottest Android phone money can buy on this Planet right now.
