HTC Android Gets Pictured In Blurrycam Leak; Could This Be The 1080p Five-Incher?
HTC’s Desire X may be the company’s next Android, but it’s going to take a lot more than that middle-of-the-road handset to impress us, especially if HTC is interested in regaining any of its lost smartphone mojo. A new image arrived over the weekend that may depict the company’s next big entry, a very-slim-looking, large-screened Android.
These shots were first published to a Hong Kong forum, but have since been taken down. They appear to show an unknown HTC Android with some heavy use of red accents. That’s not necessarily a tell, but it could be indicative of a future home at Verizon. From what little we can make out, the phone’s going to stick with its capacitive buttons, and appears to feature Beats Audio software.
So, what could this be, then? Well, like we said, the screen appears to be a decent size, even without a proper sense of scale and these off-kilter viewing angles. If this really is intended for Verizon, could it be the five-inch 1080p HTC Android we heard rumored for the carrier back in July? The one that, more recently, has been suggested to arrive sometime this month or next? Whoever gets that first 1080p phone to market is going to earn themselves some nice press, and that’s just what HTC could really use about now. For now, that may be more guesswork than fact, but whatever it ends up being, we’re anxious to learn the truth.
