Samsung Galaxy Stellar 4G LTE Tipped For Verizon Next Week
The Galaxy Note 2 and Galaxy Camera may be the big Samsung Android stories this week, but that’s not all the company has in the works. A good deal of info has leaked out on the Galaxy Stellar 4G LTE, suggesting it may be coming to Verizon as soon as next Thursday.
The Stellar sounds very mid-rangey, if not a little on the lower end of that tier. The 1.2GHz dual-core processor doesn’t sound that bad, but things like a WVGA screen make it clear that this is going to be more on the budget-priced side of things. That’s reinforced with specs like a 3.2-megapixel main camera (1.3-megapixel front-facing) and just 4GB of internal flash storage.
Unfortunately, even for a budget-priced handset, the Stellar may not be quite cheap enough. It’s rumored to launch for $100 on-contract, which while less expensive than models like the GS3, it still feels about $50 more than users would likely want to pay for this kind of hardware. Perhaps some discounts will arrive shortly after launch?
