Beats Audio Coming To HTC’s Windows Phone 8 Lineup?
We just got done talking about some specific HTC Windows Phone 8 hardware, with the discovery of a render that may depict the upcoming HTC Accord. Some more HTC WP8-related news just hit our desk, but this time it’s a little more general about the company’s plans for its WP8 lineup.
The issue of HTC and Beats Audio has been a bit of an odd one since we first learned of the partnership. It seems like there’s been a lot of resistance to the idea from certain voices both inside and outside the company, and while we’ve seen HTC scale-back Beats integration a bit, it still maintains that it’s not interested in dissolving the relationship. More recently, we heard that Beats might try releasing smartphones under its own name, manufactured by HTC. Now there’s word that beyond just Android HTC models featuring Beats integration, the company’s equalizer technology might be arriving to enhance the sound of HTC’s Windows Phone models, as well.
Supposedly, the Accord would be the first to have Beats Audio, but there’s a strong possibility that HTC would bring it to its other WP8 models, as well.
