T-Mobile Won’t Carry The iPhone 5, Tells Employees To Sell Against It on Sept. 21

For those die-hard T-Mobile customers expecting an iPhone this holiday season, it seems that an unlocked phone with blazing EDGE speeds is still the way to go. A recent memo sent to T-Mobile employees was just uncovered, and the company is asking its staff to “Sell against the iPhone” on September 21st. Now we already know that the date is the rumored launch that everybody is managing at the moment, but since T-Mobile has never been a partner with Apple, we wouldn’t call this another way to confirm the date. It could just be that they’re speculating the release through our rumors and are preparing to fight against it.

The irony in this whole situation is that there’s really no way to fight against a product. It’s not like if customers will wonder into a T-Mobile store while making a line for the iPhone 5, nor that people would even care about T-Mobile on the launch date. The carrier has lost tons of customers to competitors because they haven’t been able to secure the device, and unless they figure out a way to get it, it’s a tough battle to win. There’s no denying that there are lots of great smartphone options in T-Mobile and some of the greatest plans in the market, so it’s funny to see them fight against just one phone.
