There are several days rumored for an Apple event: September 12 and September 21. Also, more recently, we’ve heard that the iPhone-maker is planning not one, but two events: one for the next smartphone and one for the iPad mini. There’s some speculation in this sea of rumors that might narrow dates down a little, to September 21 to be more specific

Recent reports indicated that Verizon is planning a vacation blackout from September 21 to September 30 and the latest rumors talk about the same blackout timeframe for AT&T too. The same report, based on information received from an anonymous sales rep, mentions the fact that AT&T personnel are going through a training period for an “iconic release”.

In the light of these new bits of information it becomes clearer that the event date might be September 12 with an in-store availability set for September 21. Also, it appears that the iPad mini event and availability might be part of a later, October event.
