Back in May, Windows Phone fan Damien from Ireland tweeted an intriguing offer to Nokia: he’d let the company paint his car in exchange for a shiny new Lumia 900. Nokia knows a good promotional opportunity when it sees it, and after confirming that Damian was serious, got to work on transforming his hatchback into a Lumia enthusiast’s dream car.

Nokia shares the car’s makeover (which is more of a sticker-job than a new coat of paint, but that’s just splitting hairs) with a time-lapse video showing the application of its new facade. Before things even got to that point, though, Nokia spent a few weeks working-out just how to best feature Nokia, Lumia, and Windows Phone on this unusual canvas.

It may not be as sleek and cool as Carly’s motorcycle, but as far as smartphone/vehicle crossovers go, we’re still happy with the results. Would you let Nokia do the same to your ride in exchange for some free gear?
