iPhone 5 Launch On September 21st According to Verizon?
Tag this as a rumor, but it seems that there’s a probable date for the iPhone 5 launch on September 21st. AT&T was always notorious for blacking out all vacation time for their employees at the launch of any previous iPhone, so hey, who’s Verizon not to? The Verizon vacation blackout seems to be planned to last from September 21ist to the 30th, and if the rumors of an Apple September 16th launch event are true, this all just makes sense.
I still can’t understand why the launch of any other phone doesn’t receive the same amount of epic treatment, but I guess that’s the iPhone for you. Obviously this information just came from a “Trusted Verizon employee” at the source, so don’t hold your breath for it. Other sources claim they’ve called some of their “Trusted Verizon employees” and these have denied the claims, but a rumor without drama just isn’t a rumor.
Apple has become famous for being able to launch any product just days after announcing it, and in cases like the Retina Display Macbook Pro, the launch was immediate, so who knows.
