Is Samsung Preparing a Black Galaxy S III?

When Samsung introduced the Galaxy S III to the world in London back in May they told us that the phone will become available in white and blue. A special edition red flavor is available for AT&T customers and now it appears that Samsung is preparing to launch a black variant (finally!).

There are two angles to the story: the image above, showing off what looks to be a black Samsung Galaxy S III has been posted on the manufacturer’s Facebook page (together with some others). We don’t have any reason to think that it’s a fake or a Photoshop job, even more that the second angle seems to confirm the dark color.

AndroidPolice have published what they claim to be a legit Carphone Warehouse internal system leak. Highlighted is the Samsung Galaxy S 3 Black. There are two upcoming Samsung events: one on August 15 in New York and one on August 29 in Berlin (where we’re expecting the Galaxy Note II). Could one of these events also be used to unleash the black Galaxy S III? Also, would be nice to launch this phone as soon as possible together with the official Jelly Bean update!
