Samsung Planning ‘Odyssey’, ‘Marco’ Windows Phone 8 Devices?

Samsung has posted some documents in its trial against Apple which might shed some light on the South Korean manufacturer’s plans concerning future phones running the highly anticipated Microsoft mobile platform, Windows Phone 8.

“Odyssey” and “Marco” seem to reportedly be the codenames for these two device, as seen in the image above. Specs-wise they both seem to be powered by a dual-core Qualcomm MSM8960 chipset clocking at 1.5GHz. The Odyssey is listed as having a 4.65-inch Super AMOLED display with HD resolution (probably 720p) while the Marco would sport a WVGA four-inch Super AMOLED screen. The higher-end Odyssey will pack an eight-megapixel main camera and a two-megapixel front-facer while the Marco will have a five- and two-megapixel camera combo. LTE-capability is also present and, if the document is accurate, we should wait for these two to appear on the market in the last quarter of the year.
