If you’ve been frustrated that Microsoft really dropped the ball on implementing a simple, universal way to grab screen images, salvation may lie in the form of Windows Phone 8, with rumors now suggesting the platform refresh will finally make such a thing a reality.
According to WPDang, in Windows Phone 8 you’ll be able to capture a screenshot at any time but pressing the Windows button and the camera shutter simultaneously.
That key combination will reportedly save the current screen with the rest of your photos, ready for you to mail to a friend to share your latest high score, workout stats, or some driving directions.
Without more info on just who’s saying this feature will be present it’s hard to put an abundance of faith in the rumor, but considering how long Windows Phone has been without an integrated screen capture system, we’d really like to believe this report is accurate.
