1080p HTC Android Coming To Verizon?

AT&T could be looking forward to a new HTC Android that appears to finally marry the quad-core Tegra 3 with LTE connectivity, but that may not be the only carrier with a new model from the manufacturer in the pipeline. We’ve just learned about the HTC6435 for Verizon, and it also has some pretty impressive hardware specs behind it.

Like the Evitare UL for AT&T, this HTC model comes to our attention via benchmark testing. What’s quite interesting about that, as Droid-life noticed, is that the scores reported for this HTC6435 are substantially higher than we’d expect for a phone running the Snapdragon S4 MSM8960, as the benchmark reports this does. There’s a chance that means we’re really looking at the MSM8960T, an upgraded model with an Adreno 320 GPU.

The other really intriguing bit about the HTC6435 is its very high resolution, measuring in at a reported 1794 x 1080. While that might have you thinking “tablet”, the model number HTC6435 is more in line with other HTC phones. That doesn’t mean this is necessarily what we’re dealing with, but such 1080p smartphone displays are soon becoming a reality. Could HTC have one of the first models to feature such a component?
