HTC Reviewing Android 4.1 Jelly Bean To Determine Upgrade Plans and Schedule
With all the great features included with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, we couldn’t stress it enough that it is highly necessary for HTC to adopt the latest version of the Google platform, and do that as soon as possible. Looks like the Taiwanese company knows exactly what to do; the real question everyone is asking is: when?
“We are excited about Android Jelly Bean and are planning to support it across a variety of our devices. We are reviewing the software to determine our upgrade plans and schedule, so please stay tuned for more updates on specific device upgrade plans“, said HTC in an official statement.
It’s normal for OEMs to analyze and review new platforms but Android 4.1 is a point-release. Also, top-of-the-line hardware like the One X should be able to run Jelly Bean without a problem. Still, HTC is reviewing — probably trying to get all of its Sense bits optimized — and we applaud them for that; now, just bring on the update as soon as possible! We know you have many devices with many users waiting for the update so don’t blame us for being impatient!
