Check Out Google’s Adorable Jelly Bean Easter Egg
Google’s been hiding little Easter eggs in Android releases for some time now. Remember the hidden image of the zombie-fied gingerbread cookie that arrived with Android 2.3? What about the Nyan Cat-styled Android concealed within Ice Cream Sandwich? Even Chrome had its secrets, like the tab counter becoming a smiley emoticon when it passed 100. Google’s not stopping there, and continues this tradition with a Jelly Bean Easter egg.
Just like before, the trick to unlocking this one is tapping away at the Android version display in the About Phone settings screen. Keep it up, and a cute jelly bean with Android antennas will pop-up on screen. Like with the ICS Easter egg, holding down on this jelly bean will trigger the next phase of the surprise, covering your screen with a ton of floating jelly beans. You can try to swipe them off-screen as long as you’d like, but they keep finding their way back.
Give it a shot if you’ve got one of the early JB ROMs, or just keep it in mind for when an update finally comes to your devices.
