Tiered data plans can be a tricky business to manage. You want to make sure you’ll have enough data allocated each month to meet your needs, while trying to waste as little unused data as possible. Multiply that out between a few accounts, and there’s even more potential for data mismanagement and waste. Verizon’s hoping it can help simplify things for its users, making its new Share Everything plans available to subscribers as of today.

In addition to unlimited voice and text, these new Share Everything plans create a shared data pool that can be used on up to 10 lines. This isn’t a free-for-all, and users administrating the account can set individual rations for each family member on the plan. For now, that will need to be set up through the web, but should be available via a widget in the future. To help avoid any surprises, users can also set up custom notifications to let them know when they’re approaching their limits.

One nice component of these new plans is that there’s no additional fee for using your phone or tablet as a WiFi hotspot.

Share Everything plans start at $50 a month for 1GB data, moving to $60 for 2GB and then another $10 for every 2GB thereafter. Per-device monthly access fees are $40 for smartphones, but only $10 for tablets.
