Just a few hours ago, we talked to you about some of the features we’ve heard rumored – and some we’re just hoping to see ourselves – for inclusion in Windows Phone 8. Now we get the chance to possibly see just how some of those will be implemented, upon the release of what are purported to be screenshots of the in-development Windows Phone 8.

As shown above, Skype looks like its integration will extend to user profiles, letting you quickly initiate a call. Incoming calls will give users options for how to accept them, falling-back to voice-only if you’d rather not video chat.

We could also be looking forward to an updated camera app, depicted below, with what appears to be a sliding bar to control zoom. Then there are the new controls for monitoring data usage, reflecting the sort of changes we saw introduced to Android with Ice Cream Sandwich. For users on tiered data plans (and that’s a large fraction of us), this could be a great way to keep from incurring overage charges. Finally, we get a quick look at an updated Nokia Drive, though the source behind this imagery isn’t clear on if that’s waiting for WP8, or if it might be made available separately even sooner.
