One is a seven-month veteran of the mobile market, still the newest Google device to bear the Nexus name. The other is the newest in the most successful line of Android phones the world has ever seen. They already share shelf space in stores around the world, and choosing between them isn’t as easy a task as one might initially think. There are big differences inside and outside, under the hood and out in the open for all to see. They’re running the same software version, but with user interfaces so divergent that it’s hard to believe they’re built on the same core. It’s even harder to believe they come from the same manufacturer.
