Microsoft Teases “Future Of Windows Phone” Preview
For an unreleased operating system, we’ve heard a remarkable amount about just what we might hope to expect from Windows Phone 8 Apollo. We looked at some very detailed accounts of Microsoft’s plans for WP8 back in February, which have since been joined by a number of rumors concerning additional system features and news of launch hardware. Even with all that on our plate, we’re still hungry for answers to our lingering questions. We may soon have a chance to see some of them answered, as Microsoft has started sending out invites to a “sneak peek” Windows Phone event planned for later this month.
On June 20 in San Francisco, Microsoft intends to give attendees a look at the “future of Windows Phone”. While it doesn’t out and say it, it doesn’t take much of a leap of faith at all to recognize that we’re talking about Windows Phone 8 here.
Before we get too excited, Microsoft may still be unwilling to formally address some of the questions we’ve been wondering about, but we’ve got our fingers crossed that we may soon find out what’s going on with issues like the update situation for existing Windows Phone 7 devices.
With any luck, we could find out in just a little over two weeks.
