iOS 6 Rumors Look To Deep Facebook Integration
We’re hoping to learn more and more about what Apple’s planning for iOS 6 as we get closer to the start of the WWDC on June 10. The latest suggestion for what to expect has Apple increasing the platform’s ties with social media, integrating Facebook access across the operating system.
This move is being compared to the deep Twitter integration iOS already features, and would present users with additional ways to conveniently share content with their friends through Facebook.
More so than that, though, this could give new life to the practice of using Facebook credentials to log-in with third-party apps, substantially streamlining the system currently in place.
The source behind this information doesn’t expect this new-found support for Facebook to adversely affect Twitter’s iOS integration, but to be presented as an additional option. While this move to embrace Facebook may currently be in the cards for iOS, this wouldn’t be the first time Apple has flirted with the idea, and it’s backed-away from it after doing so in the past; it’s still unclear if this feature will make it into the iOS 6 beta that’s eventually released.
