Almost like clockwork, you can expect any Android released internationally with a big, central hardware home button to see that swapped-out for some capacitive replacements before the phone makes its debut in the States. Despite how prevalent such changes have become, it looks like Samsung could be preparing to go against the grain for its upcoming release of the Galaxy S III in the US, upon the discovery of imagery showing T-Mobile’s version of the phone with its original home button untouched.

Lest you start thinking that these are actually for the European version of T-Mobile, that option doesn’t feature any carrier-specific branding on the phone itself.

So, does this mean that all the carrier editions of the GS3 in the US will feature the original home button? It’s hard to say with any certainty, but if these pictures are legit (and we have no reason to believe otherwise), it might follow that AT&T’s version of the phone would be similarly unchanged, as we expect that to me the very same as one of the GS3 models coming to Canada – T-Mobile’s GS3 is in the same boat. Even still, we’re hesitant to change our expectations for all carriers, as now there might be some allure just to have the one GS3 that’s different from everyone else’s.
