Lenovo LePhone K800 Intel Medfield-Based Android Launched in China
Lenovo was the first to announce an Intel Medfield-Based Android smartphone at this year’s CES in January but the Lava Xolo X900 was the first Medfield-based device to reach a market. However, Lenovo is still on track with its LePhone K800 plans as it has been just launched in China, as promised for the end of May.
The phone packs a 4.5-inch 720p display, 1.6GHz Intel processor, 1GB of RAM and an eight-megapixel main camera. The Intel chip inside the phone is the Z2460, formerly referred to as the “Medfield”, aided by the Intel XMM 6260 platform chip in order to offer support for HSPA+ networks. It runs Android 2.3 and it costs around $525 but international availability has not yet been announced.
