Some HTC Devices Pass U.S. Customs’ Review, En-Route To Shelves

The AT&T HTC One X and Sprint EVO 4G LTE (plus probably the T-Mobile Amaze 4G) were affected by U.S. Customs reviews and were delayed from the shelves because of an ITC ban imposed in defense of an Apple patent. The ban came into effect on April 19 and the manufacturer as well as the operators couldn’t tell anything specific regarding a timeframe for resolving the issue.

According to recent reports, HTC has issued a statement in Taiwan that brings some relieving information: “Some of our products have passed the review and have been delivered to our telecoms operators’ clients in the US”. The statement was submitted to the Taiwan Stock Exchange yesterday but it does not mention which phones were those which managed to get clearance. For the moment, there were no other comments from HTC and we’re yet to hear from AT&T, Sprint or T-Mobile.
